20 Stag Do Ideas That Aren't Strippers (2026)

The default stag activity — strip club, 2am, awkward photos — is tired. It's also the one thing guaranteed to cause problems back home. Here are 20 better ideas, organized by chaos level, that most stag groups prefer anyway.

Low chaos (great for daytime)

  1. Go-karting — indoor tracks in every UK city, outdoor in Spain. £25–40pp for 30 min. Competitive, photogenic, sober-friendly.
  2. Escape rooms — 60 mins, 6–8 players. £20–30pp. Best used as a pre-night-out team bonding slot.
  3. Axe throwing — hugely popular since 2023. £25–35pp for 90 mins. Lots of venues now have bars attached.
  4. Craft brewery tour — 3–4 breweries in an afternoon, drink the product. £35–50pp. Great Sunday activity.
  5. Paintball — £30–50pp for a half day. The classic stag activity. Bruising is earned, not regretted.

Medium chaos (the main event)

  1. Boat party — Ibiza, Magaluf, Benidorm, Barcelona. €30–90pp, open bar, DJ, 3–4 hours. Iconic.
  2. Pool party at a day club — O Beach Ibiza, Nikki Beach Mallorca, Ocean Club Benidorm. €40–80 entry.
  3. Bottomless brunch — Prosecco, cocktails, DJ, 2 hours. £35–60pp. Sets up a long afternoon.
  4. Crazy golf with bars — Swingers, Junkyard Golf, Puttshack. £15–25pp + drinks. Works at any time.
  5. Race day at a track — Cheltenham, Aintree, Ascot, York. £40–80 entry + drinks. Suit-up stag.
  6. Michelin dinner for the groom — blow the budget on one meal. The "classy best man" move.
  7. Karting + clubbing combo — afternoon karting, shower, dinner, clubs. Double the content, zero strippers.

High chaos (bring the Nuke Button)

  1. Pedal tavern crawl — BYOB bike bar. Nashville, Miami, London, Amsterdam. £30–55pp for 2 hours.
  2. Drag cabaret dinner — Benidorm Palace, DragCon shows in Soho. Better than strip clubs, funnier stories.
  3. Costume night — pick a theme, everyone commits. Best-committed gets drinks bought all night.
  4. Hot tub boat — Liverpool, Amsterdam, Helsinki. 90 mins in a floating hot tub with beers. £40–60pp.
  5. Cocktail masterclass — 90 mins, 3 cocktails, £25–40pp. Starts chill, ends chaotic.
  6. Chuck-a-dart strip (darts bar) — Flight Club, 180 Club. £20–30pp + drinks. The new go-to.

Destination-specific wildcards

  1. Prague shooting range — controversial but iconic. Stag package €40–80pp. Only in Eastern Europe.
  2. Amsterdam bike pub crawl — rented bikes, 5 stops, tour guide. €40pp for 3 hours.

The ideal stag structure

Most good stag groups follow this rhythm:

  • Day 1: Arrive, light drinks, low-key dinner, introduce everyone
  • Day 2: Main activity (karting, boat, escape room), then biggest night out
  • Day 3: Recovery activity (spa, beach, brunch, golf), fly home

Two activities max. Don't over-schedule — groups that cram 4 activities into 2 days remember nothing.

Photo the chaos safely

Whatever activity you pick, someone will take photos. Use I Wasn't There to share them without them living forever on everyone's camera roll. Photos auto-delete when the trip ends, the groom gets a Nuke Button, and there's no account linking anything to anyone.
